MEMORABLE DISC GOLF MOMENT |
Receiving a phone call from PDGA Commissioner Brian Graham letting me know I was selected as the 2014 PDGA Volunteer of the Year. I volunteer because I love the sport, love the people
and love playing it, not to win awards. However it was one of those "wow, this really is worth it" type moments for me. It gave me so much energy to work on new projects for our sport moving forward.

COURSES YOU SHOULD PLAY: |
Course |
Comments |
Hawk Hollow Spotsylvania, VA |
When you step up to hole one you think "this is one of the best holes I've ever seen." When you finish 18 you realize hole one was the eighth best hole on the property. |
Castle Hayne Castle Hayne, NC |
A long course where accuracy and distance control are a premium. It's the only course I've ever played with a par over 63 that I rarely throw a driver. |
Earlewood Park Columbia, SC |
This is the best course in the world without a par 4 or 5. Hole 18 is my favorite hole in disc golf. |
West Meadowbrook Greenville, NC |
"The Meadow" is a course where my blood and sweat are a part of. Combine the personal attachment with the course containing the two f's - fun and fair - and you get a great place to play. |
Festival Park High Point, NC |
Host of one of the longest running and best events in North Carolina, The Oak Hollow Open, Festival has a great mix of length, elevation and spectacular views. The only thing bad about this course is it's temporary and we can't play it all year |

Comments |
ESP and Z Crank
The Crank is the best controlled distance disc ever made. I can throw long hyzers with the Z crank and bomb my ESP crank when I need pure distance.
ESP Pulse
When it comes to a disc that has the perfect combination of wind resistance, stability, speed and overhand use, it does not get any better than the Pulse.
Z Crush
The Crush is a staple in my bag and is a great stable fairway driver. It always hyzers and has enough speed to reach longer holes.
Z Heat
This is the best understable long disc I have ever thrown. It flies like a beat in midrange if beat in midranges went over 400 feet. The small rim is a huge plus for me in the
woods of North Carolina and anyone looking for their first distance driver will have huge success with the Heat.
ESP Flash
The Flash is the perfect disc when you need speed and control. I throw hyzers, turnovers, straight lines through the woods, rollers, pretty much everything with the Flash.
Z XL
The XL is the perfect fairway driver. There just isn't a shot - hyzer, straight or anhyzer - you can't throw with the XL.

ESP, X and Z Buzzz
The Buzzz is the best all around disc ever made. I throw every shot possible with the ESP, long slow turnovers with the X and hyzer flips with the D. I cannot
imagine playing a round without a Buzzz in my bag.
Z Buzzz OS
The Buzzz OS is the best combination of overstability and speed for a midrange I have ever thrown. I have always loved the Buzzz and feel of the Buzzz; here is a disc that
feels exactly like a Buzzz but is then predictability overstable. Amazing!
Z Glide
The Glide is that disc I reach for when I don't know what to throw. The Glide has so much glide (most appropriately named disc of all time!) and will do whatever I need it to. In the woods of North Carolina a disc that can be turned over at different times based on speed and angle can be the difference between winning and losing.
ESP Meteor
The first time I ever threw a Meteor, I put it in my bag. The second time I threw this disc was in competition. I've never had that immediate amount of trust with any other disc.

D Soft Magnet
The D Soft Magnet is the perfect throwing putter. I carry five each in different conditions. Upshots, straight shots, turnovers, hyzer flips, everything. There
just isn't a shot inside of 200 feet I can't throw with this disc.
X Soft APX |
The APX is my putter. The APX simply loves going in the basket and feels
perfect in my hand.
